About the Project

I want to be lived by you (just you).

Emily, Lived By: is a collaborative art project.  Starting on July 9, 2009, Emily Zinnemann relinquished control of her life to the whims of 52  strangers, friends, & acquaintances. Each participant receives a budget & a full week to enjoy as s/he pleases, choreographing Emily’s daily routine from breakfast to bedtime.  The experiment’s progress is fully mapped on this website.

Hi Emily – I found your website through your mom’s blog, and just read what you are planning. I think you are a genius, and the result of this project could be a very interesting book or film. I just hope and pray that the 52 people that you entrust with you life, are worthy of that trust. I would hate for you to be hurt in any way, by someone taking advantage of the situation. But I wish you the best of luck with this endeavor, and may you be enriched by it.

Such a fantastically conceived project! I am thrilled something like this is occurring in general…let alone, in my geographic area. Much luck…and I will most definitely be following along to see how things progress!

Update…just read further and realized the project has been relocated to Vancouver… (slight sad expression that something so snazzy is not happening in the lovely glove)…but if it had to go somewhere, Vancouver will be a great substitute.

This is very interesting project, I must say. Interesting, unique, crazy.. simply perfect. I am really glad I discovered it in time, and I can watch your progress (and maybe, eventually, become your Master for a week? Well, we’ll see about that) :o )
